We often get enquiries about hiring parts of the Gardens for private parties. Brighton & Hove Council Parks Department have clarified that the Gardens are a public open space and that it is not possible to hire any part of the gardens. You are however welcome to picnic or have small parties as long as this does not restrict the enjoyment of the park by other members of the public. Please remember that the Scented Garden is a quiet space and should not be used for parties.
We have been asked to remind you that barbecues may only be used on areas of hard-standing and not on the grass! Drain covers/bricks etc - obtainable from our attendants)! Burnt grass does not recover quickly and isn’t at home in a Green Flag park!
